Welcome to the first SGC Meet-the-CEO event of the year! What an honour to listen to Paul Marriott, President SAP Asia Pacific and Japan, adressing the important topic of ‘Digital for Sustainability – The Time for Asia is now!’

Our members attended a lunch talk on digitalisation and sustainability, organised by the Singaporean-German Chamber of Industry and Commerce / AHK Singapur where Mr Marriott made some highly interesting remarks. He pointed out that Asia will be one of the key players to fight climate change. Not only, because more than half of all CO2 emissions are generated in Asia, and around 40% of all waste is generated here. But mostly, Asia’s huge interest and development towards digital transformation, the young and dynamic population and a thriving and innovative start-up scene will be key ingredients to find solutions for the complex issue of sustainability and environmental protection being adapted to economical business models.
