The Singaporean-German Chamber of Industry and Commerce / AHK Singapur has been running a pavilion at ITAP from the very beginning in 2018. Every year it focuses on different topics and this year, the SGC organised an Electro Mobility Pavilion - the first of its kind.

This year six exhibitors EA Elektro-Automatik, Rohde & Schwarz, Volkswagen Group Singapore, Gantner Instruments, Viscom AG and JP Industrieanlagen GmbH contributed to an overly successfully trade show with around 20,000 visitors, in-person at the Singapore EXPO and online, from 18 - 20 October 2023.

Moreover, visitors could listen to inspiring keynotes and speeches about the close ties and support between Singapore and Germany, not only because of the signed Framework for Sustainability and Innovation (FSI), but also because both countries share many traits - manufacturing, excellence, highly skilled workforce, innovation.

Deputy Prime Minister Heng Swee Keat acknowledged how well German industry and companies are equipping their workforce with the right skills to adapt in a technologically evolving world. There is much to learn from each other, he added. Norbert Dr. Riedel emphasised that Singapore's ecosystem is perfect for German companies and meets the needs and aspirations of German companies looking to expand in Asia as Singapore opens the gateway to the ASEAN region. The diversification of trade relations in the APAC region in particular can contribute to a resilient supply chain. These benefits should be leveraged, and Deputy Prime Minister Heng Swee Keat agreed that manufacturers and suppliers need to be connected and ITAP is therefore a trusted and useful platform.

Beyond keynotes, the industrial transformation forum, the industrial innovation stage, i4.0 tech capsule and round tables - ITAP again facilitated the presentation and launch of innovative products and provided opportunities for business matchings and networking during the ITAP Happy Hour.
