The SGC was very pleased to host the Fireside Chat on ‘Mobility Trends’ with Mr Christopher Tan, Senior Transport Correspondent of The Straits Times. Mr Jens Ruebbert, Vice-President of the SGC welcomed members, and Mr Holger Lindner, SGC Board Member and CEO (Global Product Service Division) of TÜV SÜD Group moderated the fireside chat thereafter. Mr Tan spoke about the evolving automotive landscape in Singapore as a result of technological innovations, environmental awareness, and the need for more efficient and sustainable transportation solutions. He also analysed the current complexities and highlighted opportunities that are expected to shape Singapore's future in mobility, as a Smart Nation.
The Q&A was indeed an enriching exchange, as members eagerly engaged in various topics including the significance of the COE, the implementation of autonomous vehicles (AV) and electric vehicles (EV), the importance of sustainable practices, as well as the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on ridership and supply chain disruption.
The SGC extends its thanks and appreciation to Mr Tan for his insightful dialogue as well as to the members who actively participated with their enthusiasm and interesting questions.
