Following the SGC's AGM 2023, we hosted a Lunch and Dialogue with our Guest of Honour, Dr Koh Poh Koon, Senior Minister of State, Ministry of Manpower on discussions revolving around MOM's recent COS 2023 announcements and other related matters. Dr Tim Philippi, Executive Director, SGC, presented the chamber's recent Business Sentiment Survey findings, which highlighted that member businesses in Singapore are optimistic about the economic outlook albeit higher costs and difficulties in recruiting talent.

Ms Shirley Qi, newly-elected SGC President moderated the Q&A session, and Dr Koh later addressed questions from members on the rising costs of doing businesses and other manpower costs-related issues mentioned in the survey findings. Dr Koh also emphasised on Singapore's strengths as being one of the strongest economies in the world, offering a robust location and growth opportunities for companies.
